The ABPN newsletter has been a long term feature of the Association. It is published 4 times annually. Previously it was printed in black and white but is now issued in colour. The aim is to:
- Inform about current paediatric issues
- Inform about issues of relevance to the organisation
- Provide feedback from national organisations where the ABPN has representation
- Share information about events happening nationally
Since devolution we have tried to include specific information about activities in the four countries as the ways in which children’s services are managed is different. We are also running a series profiling members of the Governance Group so that members can get to know about us better.
The newsletter is currently jointly edited by Jan Colson and Jean Robinson. Jan is Principal Lecturer in Children’s nursing at The University of Bedfordshire and is a long standing member of the ABPN. Jean is Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Dermatology at Barts and the London NHS Trust and has also been a member of the ABPN for sometime. We hope that by jointly editing the newsletter we bring in a perspective from both the education and clinical fields.
Over the years there has been minimal feedback from members and we would love to hear much more. If you have activities happening locally please let us know and we would be happy to include information in the newsletter. It is your newsletter – please use it!
